He was born in Jakarta, May 27, 1989. The second of four children from the couple Lola Purnama and Loyd Yahya. Afgan has been rumored to be dating Rossa and also Raisa. His career began when with his friends visited WannaB Instant Recording Studio. In this studio they sing and record it on CD for private collections. Surprisingly, it turned out that Afgan was monitored by producer WannaB Music Production who immediately offered him a recording. At first he had hesitated but finally accepted it too and he immediately entered the recording kitchen.
It turned out that his first album was in demand by the public and was able to occupy the highest position in Indonesia's leading radio and television hit charts. In 2009 Afgan began trying out his abilities in the film world. But because he was still unsure of his acting skills he only dared to play as himself (Cameo) in the big screen film titled "Not Ordinary Love" which was the main role of newcomer Olivia Lubis Jensen. In this film Afgan also contributed the song as a sound track with the same song title as the film's title. And Afgan also formed a Group Fans named Afganism
In the 2009 Indonesian Music Award event, Afgan won the award as the Best Solo Male Singer through the Thank You Love song.
In the month of Ramadhan in 2009, Afgan released a mini album Clean Yourself with Thy Kubersujud and Your Pathfinder as the main song of this album.
Meanwhile, Afgan was also involved in the film Ordinary Love which was released on May 7, 2009. Afgan besides appearing in films filling the soundtrack with the same song title as the film's title.
Afgan was temporarily vacuumed from the world of Indonesian music to get an education in a neighboring country, namely Malaysia. In December 2012 Afgan released the single Cinta Cinta, which is a pop upbeat genre as the first single to the third album.
